Saeed Estaki, a 24-year-old from Golpayegan, was killed on the evening of January 9, 2026. His body was found in an alley with a fractured skull caused by severe blows to the head. Authorities initially attempted to portray his death as suicide or a fall from a rooftop; however, forensic examinations reportedly rejected this account, stating that his body showed no injuries consistent with falling from a height and only bore signs of beating and fatal head trauma. Reports also indicated that authorities later presented different narratives, including claims that he had been killed by protesters. His family was reportedly subjected to security pressure to deny any connection between his death and the protests. Local witnesses stated that special unit forces were seen leaving the area around the time his body was discovered. According to those close to him, Estaki was killed as a result of direct blows to the head by security forces.
