On August 8, 2026, Iran International reported, citing the IRGC-affiliated Tasnim news agency, that Hamidreza Rajabzadeh had been abducted and killed after being missing for several days. The account described him as a pro-establishment religious singer.

According to the published account, Rajabzadeh's family received a video showing his body after the killing. Iran International also said, citing the initial report, that police were investigating the circumstances of the alleged abduction and killing and seeking to identify those responsible. HumanInChain does not have access to the video, a police case file, or a direct family statement.

At the time of publication, HumanInChain had not found independent reporting by two rights organizations about the same person and event. The death, circumstances, and responsibility of any person or institution are therefore not presented here as independently established facts; those details remain attributed to Iran International and the source it cited.

This page is a monitoring record preserving the name and source trail, not a verified case file. HumanInChain will update it if a primary document, independent report, correction, or reliable information about the spelling or event becomes available.
